5 Days Zanzibar Island Safari

Your Zanzibar holiday begins with a warm welcome at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport. A driver will transfer you to your chosen hotel or resort. Depending on your arrival time, spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach, swimming in the Indian Ocean, or enjoying a cocktail by the pool.

As evening falls, stroll along the shoreline to watch the sunset – a magical introduction to the island. Many beach resorts also offer fresh seafood dinners under the stars.

After breakfast, you’ll head to Stone Town for a guided walking tour. Stone Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the cultural heart of Zanzibar. Your guide will take you through narrow alleys filled with carved wooden doors, colorful fabrics, and local crafts.

No Zanzibar holiday is complete without visiting a spice plantation. In the morning, your guide will take you to a spice farm outside Stone Town. Here, you will see, smell, and taste different spices such as cloves, nutmeg, cardamom, turmeric, and vanilla. Guides often provide samples of exotic fruits like jackfruit, mango, and passionfruit. You’ll also learn about the history of the spice trade, which gave Zanzibar its nickname.

Later, you’ll enjoy a boat trip to Prison Island (Changuu Island). The island is famous for its population of giant Aldabra tortoises, some of which are over 100 years old. You can feed the tortoises, relax on the beach, and go snorkeling in the clear waters that surround the island.

Today is reserved for the Safari Blue experience, one of Zanzibar’s most popular tours. You’ll board a traditional wooden dhow and sail across Menai Bay, a protected marine conservation area. The excursion includes:
